We are seeking an experienced and dynamic LIMS Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for a ground-breaking new laboratory facility in Europe, however this will be home based. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end process of establishing the LIMS infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration into the laboratory workflow. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of the new lab and driving efficiency through innovative LIMS solutions.
LIMS Project Manager Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align the LIMS strategy with the overall laboratory expansion goals.
- Lead the design, customisation, and configuration of LIMS to meet the specific needs of the laboratory, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Oversee the execution of system integration, working closely with IT teams and third-party vendors.
- Implement and execute rigorous testing protocols to validate the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of LIMS.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all testing procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate LIMS seamlessly with existing laboratory instruments, systems, and enterprise software.
- Ensure data integrity and interoperability by overseeing the integration of LIMS with other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, management, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure alignment between LIMS capabilities and laboratory processes.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and potential challenges to stakeholders, fostering transparency and engagement.
- Implement rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of LIMS with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for validation procedures and protocols.
- Design and deliver training programs for end-users and administrators, ensuring a smooth transition to the new LIMS system.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to empower laboratory personnel to leverage LIMS functionalities effectively.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with LIMS implementation and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in successfully managing LIMS projects, including system implementation, customisation, testing, and integration.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
