Job Title: Cerner PAS Project Manager

Reports to: Senior IT Project Manager / Program Director

We are seeking an experienced Cerner PAS Project Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of the Cerner Patient Administration System (PAS) across a dynamic healthcare organisation based in Dublin. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with clinical, administrative, and technical requirements. This role is pivotal in improving patient management workflows and delivering significant enhancements to healthcare services.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.

Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in healthcare IT, with a focus on Cerner PAS or other Cerner solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Deep understanding of patient administration workflows, hospital management systems, and healthcare regulations in Ireland.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Cerner PAS implementation, working closely with clinical, operational, and IT teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including hospital administration, clinical teams, IT departments, and vendors to understand requirements and manage expectations.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate internal and external resources for flawless execution of the project.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that project timelines, costs, and scope are adhered to.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of the new system by end-users.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, providing regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
