Senior Laboratory Analyst Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Laboratory Analyst to join our team based in Limerick, Ireland. This is a permanent role, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You will work closely with both our on-site teams and external digital partners to ensure that the LIMS content is built effectively and aligned with the company’s quality and regulatory standards. Whilst helping us maintain the highest standards of operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and maintain content within the LIMS to support QC laboratory operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external digital teams to ensure the successful integration and customization of LIMS solutions.
  • Perform data analysis and provide technical support to laboratory teams in optimizing LIMS processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and relevant regulatory guidelines during system implementation and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any LIMS-related issues and provide training to laboratory personnel on system use.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory workflows and data management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry) or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with LIMS in a laboratory or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Control operations in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Experience with LIMS configuration and customization, including data management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments and with external partners.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA, GMP) is an advantage.
