We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to support an NHS client on a contract basis with proven experience working within or alongside the NHS. You will work closely with NHS stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure that technology solutions support clinical and operational objectives and improve patient outcomes.
Key highlights of this role include -
- Lead the design and governance of end-to-end technical solutions across programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with NHS Digital and NHS England architectural principles.
- Collaborate with clinical, business, and technical teams to translate requirements into robust architectural designs.
- Define and maintain architectural artefacts (e.g., solution blueprints, data flow diagrams, integration patterns).
- Ensure solutions comply with relevant NHS standards
- Contribute to the enterprise architecture roadmap and help shape the organisation’s digital transformation strategy.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and vendors appropriate for NHS environments.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks and issues, supporting risk and change management processes.
- Support procurement and tender activities through technical input and evaluation of proposed
- Demonstrated experience in a Solution Architect role within the NHS or on NHS-funded programmes.
- Strong understanding of NHS IT systems, clinical workflows, and data interoperability challenges.
- Knowledge of NHS standards and compliance frameworks.
- Experience designing cloud, hybrid, and on-premise solutions
- Familiarity with healthcare-specific data standards.
- Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with clinicians and non-technical audiences.
